The inevitable has happened. It’s a sad thing that Wallace didn’t last out the year, although the discussions around “if he’s going to be at a new club next year, then recruiting etc. shouldn’t be discussed in earshot” make a certain degree of sense. Regardless, it’s always a sad day to see your coach walk out the door – and while few would argue that the “5 year plan” has been anything other than an unmitigated disaster, there have been a number of positives from the Terry Wallace reign. I’ll probably put some thoughts together on that sometime later.
All bitterness and unhappiness aside – thanks Terry for the past five years. And let’s hope for more Tiger success for the next 5.

hear hear, thanks for the ride Terry.
-sigh-
Another five year plan for the tiggies.
Some 30 year old heads will roll in the inevitable list clean-out: which would you dispose of?
My money is on Troy Simmonds, with a smokey on Nathan Brown.
They’ll keep Richo because he’s Richo, Cousins because he’s cheap and still very good, and Bowden because he’s reliable and has only a year or two to go anyway.

Wouldn’t surprise me if the list was a lot longer than that. I think some players who would desperately want to prove they should be kept would be (astersisks next to players I think should go):
Bowden
McMahon*
Brown
Johnson*
Simmonds*
Pattison
Schulz*
Pettifer*
King
Wouldn’t surprise me if we also looked at trading a player like Will Thursfield. He’s good enough to be the second tall defender in a backline, but appears to have missed the boat with Moore and McGuane moving ahead of him. Not sure that I necessarily agree with the assessment, but it certainly appears to have solidified. Pattison and Simmonds would be praying that Tyrone Vickery and Angus Graham don’t both heal up and play, because if they do they could both be gone.
