Cheering against Richo

Posted on May 8, 2008 | Category: The Other 15

The Big VSure it’ll be strange, but if the big fella gets the ball and misses a nice easy one, I’ll be able to feel the relief that the rest of the league has been getting for the past however milion years. I’m actually really excited about seeing the Big V out on the ‘G once more, and I reckon it represents a great opportunity for footy followers to say loud and clear that we want State of Origin to become a regular thing. It’ll be a travesty if Nathan Foley doesn’t get a gig, and Troy Simmonds is in the preliminary squad, although might be lucky to play. For all the talk of players wanting to skip the game- it looks like the players themselves are desperate to get out there.

So we might even end up with a match report after the weekend, especially if the good guys win. Go Vics! (But despite the title, I wouldn’t mind if Richo had a good one.)

I will be watching the game…but its a dead set joke.
    Vic against who????
Now if it was Vic against WA..or Vic against SA…no problem….
    typical vic centred arrogance…..

With the state of Western Australian football at the moment, I don’t think even Buddy could save a Victoria vs WA game from being a thrashing. There was no other way to do it without the need for more than one game - but I get that for a non-Victorian, there’s not a lot of fun in barracking for a team with South Australians in it.

There is another way to do it…20/20 style footy.
    Round robin…..25 minute games…beautiful!

Round robin 25 minute games. Are you serious! I can think of no better way to make sure we never play State of Origin again.
