Round 6 vs Hawthorn - Close enough but not good enough

Posted on April 30, 2008 | Category: Match Reports

Hawthorn 14.22 (106)

Richmond 15.4 (94)

The Game

Tigers kept in the game by poor kicking from Franklin, but simply not good enough to beat a really good side having an off day. Roughead proved the difference, kicking 5 for the day. Another good effort from the boys, and Richo once again played the wing, which is apparently code for “everywhere”. But we’re not the same calibre of team as the Hawks this year, and it always looked too difficult a task.
